Left Sa Dec on a very secluded street – but variable quality – almost certainly not a street that sees many tourists.

Cycled to Ferry, then instead of taking second ferry, we continued on smaller roads as much as possible.

Passed multiple Durian plantations – this is the massively stinky fruit that is very distinctive in both shape and flavour.  The whole region smelt of the fruit….

Saw our first garbage truck – indeed we saw three in all on this day – we hadn’t seen one the entire time in Vietnam and wondered where does all the garbage go (other than being thrown on th streets).

Ended in Chau Doc, had dinner and drinks in the Victoia Hotel overlooking the Mekong river – very posh, with great cocktails, great service and good food – remnant of french colonial times here very close to the Cambodian border heading to Phnom Penh.

Stayed in a basic but clean Hotel – one of many in this border crossing town seeing lots of travellers/tourists coming through by bus.
