Woke up with massive headache and all joints aching. On top I have a nasty cough and hardly slept all night.
Given that it was raining out, Jörg decided to stay in Sam Son as well for the day – we will try to head by bus down to Vinh (as there is not much really to see between here and there).
Jörg tried to find the bus station in the afternoon on Tranh Hoa, based on the directions we got from the waiter at breakfast, but after asking around in town, he had no luck.
I was in bed pretty much all day, but in the evening we walked down the beach a bit to where the fishing boats were and meandered around looking for some place to eat – eventually, we found a street-side location where we had clams, sea snails and shrimps (and nothing else) – very tasty, but not enough – we had a plate of fried rice at the hotel restaurant then on the way back.
The staff at the Hotel (Dragon Sea Hotel) were most helpful and supportive. They called the train station (no trains with bikes during Tet) and the bus station (bus at 11am) for us….so with a plan in hand we were off to bed, with me hoping I would feel better tomorrow.
